ACT 1: 50 cm and no more


Description: Activity one requires the task of programming the robot using the LEGO Mindstorms program in order to manipulate certain functions to move the robot to and from the start 50 cm away.

Description: 
In order to program the robot to move 50 cm in a straight line of 50 cm,we first selected the control/ move function. From this point the port system "B:" was chosen, and then we had adjusted the steering of the robot to move in a straight line selecting the middle arrow.  However, 1 second was , hence we had to adjust still not enough time for the robot along the whole 50 cm line, hence we had to increase the time. 



Description: 


The variable that had to be changed was the time , which as mentioned before was to short. Hence we increased to 1.5 seconds, however this was still very off line.  Hence it still needed to be > 1.5 seconds

Description:

We had adjusted the time of travel by increasing the duration to 2.5 seconds. This showed progression as the robot had almost touched the finish line. So we had to increase the time by a small amount again, till the robot touches the finish point.




SUMMARY:
Overall, this activity did take 3 trials for it to be completed which are summarized below, in the following medium.
